First time in Germany: Hedgewalk – a project by Andy Goldsworthy

In October 2023, the world-famous British landscape artist Andy Goldsworthy will realize his first permanent project – Hedgewalk – in Germany. As the latest work of art on the Nieheim Art Trail in Holzhausen, the installation will be experienced as a nearly 200-meter-long walk-through tunnel made of 1,100 hawthorn plants grown together. This exciting work allows visitors to experience the feeling of security and intimacy of the space and at the same time sets an example for the ecological importance of hedges as a habitat for animals.
